Workshop on the Asset Based Community Development model

17th March (13.00 CET) the City of Fredrikstad hosted the ABCD model workshop in cooperation with the Innovation Circle Network with more than 20 participants. The presentations can be explored at this page. The city of Fredrikstad with its 83 000 inhabitants consist of 22 local community councils These are non-political councils. In 2020 a new model for administrating og organising the councils was implemented  effectively tying them closer to the muncipal administration.

The workshop is open for participation and free of charge. Registration is optional.

Mr. Vegard Anda presented the new model and how it differs from the previous one. In addition he will present example of the range of activities the councils are engaged in.

In areas with high unemployment and low income the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD( method) has been the foundation for activities.
This year the municipal ABCD task force, is taking the ABCD approach one step further, by using the learning site method.

Local community developer Edel Pavlic explained what this means in practice.
